Hi Javier!

You're pretty much right with your "Papers + CiteULike + Social Network" summary - maybe I should use that as an explanation in the future! To be fair however, we don't have the 1-click-bookmarklet-import of metadata (that CiteULike or Connotea have) just yet, but we're working on it; similarly, you can expect improved Microsoft Word- and LaTeX-integration soon.

We've also planned a "group management" feature on the web which lets you create projects - the details of this feature remain to be sketched out, though. Any specific thoughts or wishes beyond the Wiki-like structure? I take it you'd like to be able to work on documents collaboratively and then be able to export them in some fashion? Your ideas are greatly appreciated!

Best wishes,
Victor

The mendeley thing sounds quite interesting... for what I understand from their website, it is like a mash-up of Papers and CiteULike, spiced up with a few social network features.

They don't include any collaborative publishing tool though, do they? It would be great, both for research and for learning, to have a sort of wiki-like tool where you could create a project (e.g. study seminar on non-Riemann hypersquares) and keep adding information as it grows up (and eventually get everything into a paper, book, seminar lecture notes, or whatever). I'll keep waiting...

That's an astro-ph, ie. physics, arxiv plot. Most professional physicists I know try to submit near the deadline, so they can catch a niche spot on the next day's listing. Gives you an idea of the sort of 'skills' one needs to be a successful physicist, doesn't it?

It only takes a minute to install MathML fonts. I recommend it.
