I did jailbreak my itouch using the ziphone.. have been able to install great applications, even a piano on my itouch. It is awesome.. I believe that people should have their freedom in using whatever and whenever for a good cause.

gotcha, so can i just install apache/PHP and then i will be able to see more web pages and videos on the web too? or do i have to set it up? because i dont really understand this whole connecting to computer thing, sorry.

If you only want to hear music or see videos leave it as it is. If you want al least to use it as a harddisk at the moment you have to jailbreak it. To connect to it you either need an APFserver or OpenSSH running on it.

As for apache/PHP there are thousands of small PHP-scripts which you can then run from the iTouch. Of course this has to be useful. I was thinking of enabling a Wiki with it so that i can use other computers to fill the wiki on the iTouch (eg with lots of links) so that i dont have to type too much on the iTouch. Done some tests but may post when Ive worked a bit with it.

Hi, this may be a very stupid question, but i just got my new itouch and dont know much. What is the point of turning it into a php webserver, and being able to “control our itouchs”?
