As for the sporadics, I have the groups F1, F2, F3 = M, 2.B, 3.F24' ~ E8,E7,E6 and, I suspect related by del Pezzo surfaces. Fk is the group centralizing an element of order k in M, called by Norton, a "monstralizer".

Well, France looked even worse than Romania at this Euro. If Italy meets Netherlands in semifinals and wins, I will enjoy this, because it would have been “easy” for Netherlands to avoid meeting again Italy but they refused. We say something like “if you don’t let somebody die, that one will not let you live”. This may happen in the semifinals; we’ll see…

Hi Florin, sorry i missed you last monday. i came in after lunch but lydia told me you had already left… as to football, a wild conjecture : if both holland and italy make it to the semis, italy goes through after penalties. some teams grow in a championship, some teams get over-confident. needless to say i was supporting France…
